So apparently Koni (ITT – manufacturer of shock absorbers, a previous workplace of mine) has been burning since around 7am this morning, and is still smoking as of writing this post at 11:20am. Went around the place and took some pictures.
It was still dark when I went outside (8am) so the pictures I took then are too dark. Luckily the sun was coming up shortly after, so I was able to take some clearer pictures.
At this point, I’m not sure how much has burned down, but guessing from the amount of smoke and the duration of the fire, I’d say that department has been burned down completely.
Smoke is very visible in this picture.
Although I thought they had it under control, it started burning again apparently and smoking so bad you can see the clouds all the way in town (and apparently the smoke could be seen from neighboring towns).
Reportedly, no one has been injured. The factory was empty when the fire started.
