I have decided to add Dutch language tutorials on my blog occasionally. This morning I woke up with this idea to write down a couple of sentences about today, it being the last day of the year of 2021, with English translations under them.
Translation of the title: Laten we Nederlands leren op de laatste dag van het jaar!
Let’s go
Dutch: Vandaag is de laatste dag van het jaar.
English: Today is the last day of the year.
Dutch: Er wordt overal veel vuurwerk afgestoken, ondanks dat het verboden is.
English: Lots of fireworks is being lit everywhere, even though it is banned.
Dutch: Ik hoor de hele tijd harde knallen.
English: I constantly hear loud bangs.
Dutch: De katten houden niet van vuurwerk, ze zijn er bang voor.
English: The cats don’t like fireworks, they are scared of it.
Dutch: Ikzelf steek geen vuurwerk af, maar ik kijk er wel graag naar.
English: I don’t light off any fireworks myself, but I do enjoy looking at it.
Dutch: Het was wederom een zwaar jaar, hopelijk wordt 2022 iets beter.
English: It was once again a heavy year, hopefully 2022 will become a bit better.
