I found this character called Peep, who is soft and round and likes to hide in… the fridge?! I saw that and just HAD to learn how to make a little animation of opening a fridge, with this little bird – owned by peepdream – inside of it.
Now, I did struggle a bit with optimizing this animation. Initially, I had too many see-through materials in the scene, causing it to be rather slow. So I disabled raytracing to make the scene run more smooth on my laptop.
After learning how to open a fridge door in one direction and making a quick zoom-in effect, there was just one more thing… I wanted the little bird to tilt its head ever so slightly. That turned out to be a little bit of a struggle for some reason. ^_^;; I’m completely new when it comes to rigging and posing, (and animation) so it took way longer than it should have, but here we are!
Simple, but I like it shows every so slightly more that Peep is ‘alive’ in the animation!
