Sadly, our time in our Airbnb is coming to an end. Despite the bad things that happened, we enjoyed our stay. The cats have been doing very well too, which I’m grateful for. I mean, this is quite the adventure we’re taking them on after all.
I wanted to make a new post after arriving at our new destination, but as things are a little exciting at the moment, I’ve decided to write out what’s currently going on.
Next Stop: Bulgaria!
We’re going to Bulgaria tomorrow! We’ve decided to go and check out Ruse – it’s not far away from Bucharest and just over the border of Romania. Actually, I’m excited to check it out. Yes, Ruse appears to be an old city. Some would argue not a very good looking city (old buildings, streets and greenery not maintained etc) but this happens to be what is attracting me to this location. It’s a completely different world from what I’m used to, just like Bucharest to be honest.
But here’s the catch…
We booked an Airbnb, of course. We scheduled a taxi. We’re packing out items, cleaning up the apartment. Ready to say goodbye and continue our adventure on our new location.
But…
The Airbnb host isn’t responding anymore.
I asked for the check-in instructions and explained that I may not have an internet connection when I arrive. When I went to Bucharest, the host didn’t send me any instructions until just a few hours before check-in. I asked for them while on the airport at Schiphol, before boarding my plane to Romania.
In this case, it will be a relatively short taxi drive in the afternoon, so I’m hopeful I can contact the host in time.
I feel like my life really has turned into some sort of soap opera at the moment with all of the disasters going on.
But who knows…
Maybe it will turn out okay.
Until next time – hopefully from the Airbnb I booked in Bulgaria!
