Today I went on an exploration across the city of Ruse, Bulgaria from West to East! The weather was largely very nice and sunny, although quite warm – around 26-28 degrees I would say.
As you can see, I went to the scenic observation point again! Since it’s spring now, the view looks a lot different from last time. It’s quite a trip + a climb to get to this point, but it’s absolutely worth it to gaze into the distance!
All those buildings in the front, that’s Ruse. In the back, the plain fields, that’s Romania!
Here is the TV Tower of Ruse, right behind you when you stand there looking out over the city from this scenic viewpoint.
I think this shot looks pretty cool. It’s in an area at a relatively far distance from the city center.
Remember that TV tower and the scenic viewpoint? Here you can see it again, but now from below and on the other side of the city!
Lastly, in the East I took a picture of this apartment block. I’m fascinated by the apartment blocks across Ruse!
Now, I must give my legs a rest. Thank you for having a look!
26 to 28 degrees is considered mild in Brasilia, but now that I have been living in Ireland, it’s boiling hot! x_x Btw, the aesthetics of those building remins me of Brasilia so much. It had clear inspiration in 1960s Soviet architecture.
I cannot wait to visit Eastern Europe! :)
Sounds similar to me with the Netherlands – anything above 25 degrees is basically a heatwave over there. Yesterday’s weather was just the beginning of how hot it can get in Bulgaria. Last year we had weeks of up to 38 degrees Celsius!
I really love the Soviet-style buildings too, very interesting architecture.
Hope you get the chance to explore Eastern Europe soon!
