It is not always wanted or needed to capitalize the first letter of a word while you are working on OpenOffice Calc. If you want to know how to disable capitalization in OpenOffice Calc, you have probably already tried the following:
Tools -> AutoCorrect Options -> Options tab and uncheck Capitalize first letter of every sentence
This doesn’t work. Why? Beats me. Luckily, there’s a workaround that will work so you can quickly get back to work on your documents.
Disable capitalization in OpenOffice Calc
Simply go to Tools -> Cell contents and toggle the AutoInput option. Once this feature has been disabled, you should be able to write without capitalization and OpenOffice Calc will not correct it.
And that’s it! Now you can get back to work without having OpenOffice Calc try and outsmart you.
