How to Move Two Layers at Once in GIMP

I normally didn’t have a need for this, until now! I wanted to know how to move two layers at once in GIMP, because I didn’t want to merge my layers just to be able to move them. Shift and/or Ctrl clicking the layers didn’t do anything…

But luckily there is an easy way to do this!

Solution: Simply click on the chain for the layers that you want to move. Normally, they are not there. So if you click on the empty space where the chain should be, it will appear. See picture above.

And that’s it! That’s how you move several layers at once in GIMP.

I am using GIMP version 2.10.18.
