Wow, time sure flies! I wanted to create a celebratory post about InspireMari.nl turning 15 years old this month. I purchased the domain in 2009, and since then, this personal blog has went through a lot of changes. However one thing remained constant: I always posted kawaii and beautiful visuals and it always focused on my art.
InspireMari.nl used to contain a lot more posts actually, and I am sad that they are gone. Unfortunately, even though I had a backup of my database, I was unable to restore my old content for some reason and therefore started over in 2016. A lot has happened since then. InspireMari.nl has had the same lay-out for YEARS and I only changed it just recently! Although it’s still in a similar style.

Kawaii Art
I absolutely love creating art and I put a strong focus on kawaii art. My 2D art is mostly made with a free drawing program called Krita. I use a Huion Kamvas 13 to draw digitally.
My 3D art is made with the free 3D modeling program Blender. I also make pixel art, and I’m quite stubborn to learn using a new program for that type of art, so it’s mostly done in MS Paint!
Not only do I post my art for your viewing pleasure, I also like to write tips for artists and I share tutorials and things I’ve learned along the way, such as the countless Blender tips & tricks.
All of my art is posted on my blog, but you can also find my art on my Twitter, Instagram and DeviantART account. I also post my Progress videos on my YouTube channel! But… these accounts are not updated as much at the moment. I’m really most active on my own blog.
Mini Games
I like to make simple browser games in JavaScript and/or PHP with cute, simple graphics or simple gimmicks. Easy stuff that loads quickly and easily in your browser, without needing to sign up or sign in for anything, no need to download anything or allow additional sources for scripts. Just little ideas that I’ve come up with, I like to share with you. In fact, my Mini Games page will become a big focus on my website – it has received its very own sub-section on InspireMari!
Free Resources
Actually, there are also a couple of paid resources that I sell to support my online endeavors. But most of my resources are 100% free to download and use! ^_^ You can find free avatars, dividers, icons, tiled backgrounds, patterns and more over at the Resources page. This is my way to give back and contribute to the art community.
Pokemon Stuff
Pokemon has a special place in my heart, so I will be sharing a lot of Pokemon content, including art and photos of things that I own. I am most familiar with the first five seasons, and a bit of the 6th. But the first 3 I can recall the most.
