In order to ensure that all Mini Games work well in your browser, I moved the mini games section to their own unique section on InspireMari!
Sometimes, the scripts interfered with the WordPress scripts, making it extremely hard or even impossible to make the games run…
So, I decided to give the Mini Games their own section on my domain!
Because, honestly… I’m working on a lot of browser games!
Technically speaking, it’s quite a challenge to get this up and running because it’s a part of the website that I’m running purely on my own code… and I haven’t done that in ages. XD
WordPress has really eliminated the need to keep up with being able to code. With WordPress, making and running a website really became “plug and play”. Once you installed WordPress, you can click and select the theme you like, click and select the plugins you like, click to make text bold, click to make a hyperlink, click to underline text… everything became a lot easier.
In order to run WordPress, all you need is some understanding on uploading the WordPress files to your fileserver and create a database.
You see back in the day, people learned HTML and CSS to run their own websites. Then they realized it’s annoying to change every single page when they changed their layout, so people started using either iFrames or PHP Includes.
I’m back on those shenanigans again, making everything work with my own knowledge of coding. I’m using PHP includes, because iFrames are not ideal for various reasons. But then again, I haven’t tried iFrames for the last 20 years…
Anyway, this is a bit “technical” but it’s really just basic knowledge. For those interested in making their own website, I might make a tutorial about this some time!
It really gives this feel of being a teenager again, working on my website after school until deep in the night… running into unexpected issues that took hours to solve. xD
But now I’m 37 and I’m not doing this in the Netherlands anymore, but in Bulgaria…
Funny how life goes. o.O
