I decided to make a fullbody picture of my OC Satoko! I don’t have that many OCs, but this one’s been with me for a long time – I actually created her back when I was in high school. Recently, I’ve been revisiting her design and fleshing out more details about her personality and appearance.
Satoko is an Asian girl with dark brown hair, brown eyes, and deeper-toned skin – inspired by the beautiful Southeast Asian features. Her fashion sense leans heavily into the goth/alt aesthetic: dark colors, layered textures, chunky boots, loose socks and accessories with metal accents. Multiple ear piercings included. She gives preference to shorts over skirts or dresses.
She has a body type that’s a bit bigger than average. Height-wise, she stands around 165 cm (5’4″).
I’m really enjoying rediscovering her, and drawing her fullbody helped me connect with her again! ^_^
Drawing Process of Satoko

Here are some images showing the process of drawing this fullbody picture of my OC Satoko! As you can see, I made her body a little longer throughout the process, and made her face a bit smaller too. I don’t draw fullbody pictures all that often so I really tried my best to make it look good. In the near future I will dedicate some more time to studying anatomy so I can draw fullbody characters better.

A little detail shot. I tend to leave my lineart in a crazy color all the way until the end. Yeah, that’s a weird little habit of mine. I love to see the massive impact the lineart makes when you make it match the colors of the character in the end!

A close-up of her face. I love how her smile turned out! As you can see, in the end I made some additional changes to the length of the bridge of her nose. I also added some extra light effects to her metallic elements (earrings, chain on her shorts).
The entire artwork was made in Krita, including the background. All hand-drawn (using a Huion Kamvas 13 drawing tablet).
