Planned Maintenance, so Time for a Walk!

View of a Bulgarian neighborhood from a park.

We had some planned maintenance today, so we went out for a walk in quite lovely weather and also picked up a new external keyboard for me, since the keys of my Lenovo laptop (purchased in 2023) are failing and it seems to be hardware failure. I can no longer use the Q, W, E and R keys on that keyboard and you’d be surprised how many times you need especially the E and R key to type! Also picked up a cheap mouse to replace my current mouse when that one finally stops working – it’s two years old but has been having issues for a long time already (random right-clicking…).

My new keyboard! Kinda cool it also has Bulgaran BDS (Bulgarian State Standard) on the keys. This Canyon keyboard was 9.70 euros. The mouse was 6.90 euros.

After picking up the keyboard and mouse and a short stop at Lidl for a soft ice cream and a bottle of Ayran, we continued walking and ended up at – yep, again – the scenic observation point in Ruse, in the neighborhood of ‘Leventa’.

I came across this beautiful photo opportunity! So I took a few shots of the clock tower of Ruse Central Train Station through these blossoms!

Another shot – with just the clock in the shot, not the top of the tower.

The train station – with a train waiting!

After walking about 7 kilometers today – and a lot uphill! – my feet are a bit sore but I feel like I had a good workout. With 13.000 steps on the counter, that concludes this Tuesday.
