Register & Comment to Help Street Cats! – Event

I need your help. Or better yet, the street cats in my city need your help. I am starting an event to help the cats in my area, and it will cost you not a single penny to contribute!

Here is the plan:

I am running this event from TODAY (December 26th) to January 30th, 2025.

• If 10 people register and post 10 comments each, I’ll buy an outdoor cat shelter.
• If 20 people register and post 10 comments each, I’ll buy a second outdoor cat shelter.
• If 30 people register and post 10 comments each, I’ll buy a third outdoor cat shelter.

Yes, that’s right. I will use my own money to purchase these outdoor shelters for cats, provided that, as community, you can help me spread the word. Spread the word about this event, as well as about my website. Because if my website grows, I can do more for street cats.

I know it’s not much for now. But trust me, there’s more to come. If we work together.

All progress is publicly available. Down here, I will list the users who have made 10 comments!

Rules & Guidelines

The rules are very simple and basically the same as the rules for signing up to become a member of inspiremari.nl in general. You don’t have to submit in-depth comments on long articles – you can simply support me by posting short comments on my art or pictures of my cats, if you wish. And yes, commenting on old posts is allowed and in fact, much appreciated!

In short:

• Only one account per person!
• Spam will not be tolerated.
• Hateful, vengeful, NSFW or political comments are not allowed.

Why Outdoor Houses for Cats

I’ve been thinking a lot about what I can do to offer help to the street cats here in Ruse, Bulgaria. I am a member of multiple Facebook groups, and every day, I see horrible cases coming by. Apart from money that is desperately needed to help sick and injured cats, a big problem is finding foster homes and furever homes.

This means that most cats will return to the street and stay on the street. In that case, I think it would be nice to offer some outdoor shelters for cats to use during the especially hot summer months, for when it’s raining, and for when it’s cold in the winter.

January 13-14: Posted highlight art of my StarKitten adoptables on Twitter and Instagram to draw attention to the website and the cause.

January 11-12: Uploaded a short-format video to two of my YouTube Channels and two of my Instagram accounts, as well as the Backyard Cats TikTok account.

January 6: Posted a video about this on my Backyard Cats YouTube Channel.

January 5: We’ve got some users signing up and making a few comments! But so far, no one has placed anywhere near 10 comments yet. Fingers crossed!
