Back in the early 00’s, it was completely normal for web pages to link to one another – mostly similar websites. This was done via a so-called ‘Links page‘. This page featured buttons of 88×31 pixels and buttons of 88×15 pixels, sometimes animated. This allowed webmasters – as we were called back in the day – to create our own networks of similar websites and build new friendships with like-minded people!
Nowadays, it’s very difficult for small websites to be found. It’s hard to grow on social media, and it’s even harder to be found via Google. I mean, if no one looks further than page one, we’re all competing for the same spot.
I think it’s really up to us if we want to grow. So, with the spirit of the early 00’s, let’s help each other!
Go to my Links Page if you’re interested in exchanging links with me! ^_^
