A surprisingly cheap dinner! I never thought it would be possible to find (frozen) duck at such a cheap price here in Bulgaria: it’s about 4.50 euros a kilo!
I first tasted duck only a few years ago, in a dish from the Chinese-Indonesian restaurant in my hometown. I loved it! It has so much more flavor to it than chicken meat. Sadly, duck is extremely expensive in the Netherlands so I never ate it again.
Then here in Bulgaria, I noticed frozen duck in the deep freeze section and since we have an airfyer, I decided to give it a go!
The duck comes out very crispy and there’s a lot of fat to drain out of the air fryer. The duck fat is delicious too, but it makes the meal very filling.
I combined the duck with a pack of instant noodles (not a fan of the E-numbers in it though, I’ll have to look for better noodles), with a bit of garlic, onion and soy sauce. Making today’s dinner fairly cheap.
And needless to say, it was delicious!
