Today’s Dinner: Duck with Rice and Glass Noodles

Duck legs cooked in fat

Today I decided to try a can of duck legs that I bought a week ago. The ducks were fed naturally (not force fed) and the legs were precooked in fat. After putting them in the oven for about 25 minutes, minus all the fat (duck fat and sunflower oil) and adding a tiny bit of coconut oil instead, I mixed them through some rice and glass noodles that I fried in a pan with coconut oil, pepper, garlic powder, ginger powder, soy sauce and oyster sauce.

It was quite delicious I must say. But price-wise, not something I’m going to purchase again. XD The can was 16.99 euros for 1240 grams. But that’s WITH the fat… drained, the weight was 565 grams. Ouch.

Nevertheless, I wanted to try it and I did. Was not disappointed by the taste. ^_^
