Today’s Dinner: Vegetable-filled Soup! (+ Pork & Bacon)

Today I decided to buy as many affordable vegetables as possible in order to make a soup! Actually, I wanted to make a potato soup, and I placed my order online but the potatoes didn’t come. -_- So it became a regular soup instead.

I bought broccoli, cabbage, various types of peppers, paprika/bell pepper, carrots, two types of mushrooms, red & yellow onions and garlic.

I also bought a pack of bacon strips, and still had some left over bacon in the fridge.

Preparing the meal took a loooong time. First, I fried up the bacon strips. Then I fried up the onions and garlic. After that, I cut up all the vegetables and bacon and added it to a pan with some water.

I cut everything up small enough to ensure everything would cook through relatively quickly. After adding some black pepper, salt, soy sauce, butter and celery, it didn’t take long until it was dinner time!

I chose to add some rice and mix the vegetables through, with some soup as a ‘sauce’. It was pretty delicious!
