These super cute kitties are called ‘Tsuchineko’ plushies, super kawaii cat plush items by the well-known Japanese brand AMUSE. They are available in many sizes and colors. These are the keychain version – but still too big too fit on your keychain, though! Perhaps you would want to attach these cat plushies to your backpack. If you’re not afraid of them getting dirty or worse – getting stolen!
Personally, I like to have these kawaii stuffed toys sit around safely in a room. :D
AMUSE Co., Ltd. makes super kawaii animal plushies. You have likely seen some of them before! The famous Alpacasso plush toy is an example. These cute alpaca plushies exploded in popularity years ago.
As you can see, the cat plush toys are flat on the bottom, giving them a super cute and round appearance! Much like a cat in ‘loaf’ position.

The name Tsuchineko is a playful reference to “Tsuchinoko,” a mythical creature from Japanese folklore. The Tsuchinoko is often depicted as a short, fat snake with a wide body, resembling the appearance of these Tsuchineko plushies.
The Tsuchineko plushies by AMUSE come in various sizes and different designs, featuring a range of colors and patterns, including tabby, calico, and other familiar cat markings.
For my purchase, I chose a black and white (tuxedo) look and a red/ginger cat, representing not just the Backyard Cats but also the cats we had before.
As you can see in the picture above, the tuxedo kitty has a collar with a blue flower on it!
