I’ve embarked on a journey to learn how to make 2D art in a 3D environment in Blender’s Grease Pencil.
Blender’s Grease Pencil tool is a popular choice for creating 2D animations within its 3D environment. One essential feature of Grease Pencil is the eyedropper tool, also known as the color picker, which allows users to easily sample colors and materials.
Now, I had some trouble finding the eyedropper in Grease Pencil, but I finally found it and wanted to share it with you (and also post this as a reminder for myself)!
So, this is where to find the eyedropper in Blender Grease Pencil:
- First click on the color in your top bar.
- You will see a color wheel and your current color under it. Click on it.
- Now you will find an eyedropper icon! See the screenshot for detailed guidance.
I am using Blender version 3.5.0.
Thank you for checking out my Blender Note! I am by all means a beginner in Blender, so I do not feel qualified to label this post as a 'tip' or 'tutorial'. However, I decided to upload this note for myself, and hopefully it can be useful to others as well.
