I’ve been thinking about it for a while, renaming my YouTube channel to something more inclusive of Ricky. The thing is, I started this YouTube channel when we still only had Tommy, hence the name Wholesome Tommy. Because Tommy is a super kind male cat who loves getting pet and wouldn’t hurt a fly. Well, maybe a fly. And a dragonfly… and a butterfly. But that’s in his nature, and we try to prevent the cats from hunting beautiful insects where we can, however it is not always preventable as you can understand.
Anyway! So we got a second cat on August 8, 2020: Ricky, a feisty little girl. I didn’t think it was fair to have a channel called Wholesome Tommy while Ricky is part of it too. Since our cats are “indoor cats” who can roam around the backyard, I decided to call the channel Backyard Cats. You will mostly find videos of the cats doing what they like to do in the backyard, as that is their favorite place.
